Common Computer Issues

Most people experience computer problems from time to time. These can result from either hardware failures or software problems and we can diagnose and repair both.

One of the most common issues is the dreaded virus or spyware which can cause havoc.

Hardware Problems

In our experience, the main hardware problems are graphics cards and hard drives. Hard drives consist of moving parts and are prone to failure and so expect your hard drive to fail at some point in time.
We can repair any computer but we suggest that if it is under warranty, you get it repaired under the warranty first. The problem with computer warranties is that it's often difficult to get the supplier to admit the fault lies with the computer ( hardware ) and not with the software or any virus / malware you might have picked up. This is where we can help by providing a diagnostics which can help enforce a warranty.

Hardware problems can result in data loss and so we can provide advice about backing up your data either using external hard drives or via some free on-line data storage

Software Problems

It's also very common for you to experience computer problems due to software problems. This can be due to some software not being compatible with your system or other software, a driver problem or because of a virus or malware. If you think you might have a virus or are suffering from some malware / spyware, visit our downloads page for some free anti-virus programmes or anti-malware programmes.

Unfortunately, software related issues are not covered by any warranty and so if you can't solve the problem yourself, you'll have to find someone who can and we certainly can !
